ComputerTan.com Promises Tan From PC Hoax Video | Raises Skin Cancer Awareness

Here’s a great video to send to your friends this April Fools. Here we have the gorgeous spokeswoman Hannah Yasmin telling us about ComputerTan’s revolutionary new “desktop tanning technology.”

A tan from your computer screen?! If only it were true…

As it turns out, ComputerTan.com is run by the charity organization Skcin to help raise awareness about the dangers of UV sun beds. And, as far as I can tell, it’s worked quite well. Since this viral campaign started earlier this year, ComputerTan.com has received over 1 million hits.

When visitors visit the hoax site and click to start their trial session, they are interrupted with the warning “DON’T BE FOOLED, UV RAYS CAN KILL” then the following grotesque images appear:

Shocking? Yes, but rightfully so since is the most common disease among young adults in the UK.
