Controversial Government X-Ray Van (Video) | 4th Amendment Violation?

This commercial for a van with x-ray technology is causing quite an uproar online. While the company that manufactures the van suggests that it’s only intention is to promote safety, many people are questioning if such technology is unconstitutional.

Is it just me or does this seem like a violation of the 4th amendment?

The last thing I need is to be fearing that some x-ray van is scanning my body/car and emitting harmful radioactive rays whenever I’m out of the house. The last time I checked, you still needed to have protection for x-ray scans, so I’m wondering if this technology is cancer-causing.

I could see how something like this could be useful for airports, but honestly, I’m not that paranoid about people trying to blow me up everywhere I go with hidden explosives. War toys need to stay where wars are.
