Jussie Smollett, an actor most famous for his work on Empire, has been charged with disorderly conduct by filing a false police report.
This video shows Smollett being interviewed on Good Morning America after the alleged attack. Which makes for interesting viewing in light of the latest turn of events.
Jussie Smollett claimed he had been beaten up by two masked men yelling racist and homophobic abuse. He also claimed they tied a rope around his neck, poured bleach over him, and specifically said, “This is MAGA country”.
After investigating the crime, the police concluded that Smollett had organized the whole thing. Which, if true, is despicable behavior.
