As I can’t and don’t drive a car, I spend part of my life walking to and from places. Which is fine and dandy. However, waiting at a pedestrian crossing for the lights to change can be boring and a little frustrating.
What’s needed is a way of passing the time, perhaps a classic arcade game to keep me occupied…
This video shows a pedestrian crossing in Germany where a version of Pong has been installed instead of the usual ‘Green for go, red for wait’.
When the traffic is flowing, two pedestrians, one on either side of the road, can play a quick game of Pong to pass the time. Oh, and as a bonus it may be a good way of making new friends.
