Have you ever wondered what thousands of teddy bears look like as they’re flying through the air? No? Well it looks a little something like this.
The stuffed toy storm is actually the 17th Annual Teddy Bear Toss held in Calgary. Apparently fans of the city’s minor league hockey team, the Calgary Hitmen, undertake the ritual to celebrate the team’s first goal of the season.
It seems pretty bizarre but it’s all for a good cause. The 25, 003 teddies collected from the ice have been donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital. It’s certainly a safer option than throwing hard toy cars and trucks at the ice!
