Keith Olbermann returned to television last night with Countdown on Current TV. Very little has changed since his MSNBC days. Whether you think that’s a good thing or not will depend on your politics.
Political commentator Keith Olbermann departed MSNBC in January, and has now set up a new home at cable channel Current TV. Most reviewers enjoyed his new show, even if some consider it, and him, as mad as a box of frogs.
Olbermann had several guests join him on his first show back, including Michael Moore, John Dean, and Markos Moulitsas. There was very little in the way of surprises, but then that’s probably a good thing.
Essentially, those on the right and Republicans don’t like Olbermann, while those on the left, liberal and Democrats do. And Countdown on Current TV isn’t going to change those viewpoints one iota.
