I must admit that the first time I watched this I thought it was actually real. I sat there with my jaw agape thinking how retarded these country singers were being.
I no absolutely nothing about country music except that some of the songs are about pets dying and crap like that, so I thought it entirely possible that this could actually be real.
And then I came to my senses and realised the big Onion symbol in the bottom corner meant that this was a spoof. I take my hat (not a stetson) off to them though, as its a very well made one… I fell for it.
What I missed on first watch, but caught on the second was the rolling news headlines at the bottom of the video. They are also hilarious.
Great video, and very funny spoof. I just hope that: Osama Bin Laden hasn’t seen it; country singers don’t watch it and think its such a good idea they’ll do it for real.
