Usually planes attempting to land in high-wind warnings are diverted or delayed until the winds settle. However, in some cases the pilots of the planes don’t have a choice, and that is most often due to running low on gas.
These pilots must have a landing or two in their back pocket. They remarkably landed this unsteady plane – sideways.
The winds in this video are so strong, the plane was facing 2 o’clock, instead of the standard 12 sharp. The plane must have needed to land and those pilots must have amazing skill to pull it off.
They managed the nearly impossible, I’m just glad to not be a passenger on that plane.
