Ski-Gliding (also known as Speedflying or Ski-Flying) combines the sports of skiing and paragliding into one insane activity.
WARNING: Do not attempt without extra pairs of pants.
This particular video was taken on the 14th of June in 2006 when François Bon did the world’s first speedflying descent of the mount Eiger in Swiss Alps. Just one month after this video was taken, a chunk measuring 700,000 cubic metres fell from the east side of the mountain.
If the jump at the 47 second mark wasn’t enough to make you shit your pants, the view at 1:06 is certainly enough to takeyour breath away. If you ask me, this 36 year old is one lucky bastard. François is also an ex-member of the French National Paragliding Team.
I guess it just wasn’t hardcore enough for him.
