‘Crazy Taxi’ Movie Trailer Video | Using Other Movie Footage To Show It Could Have Worked

35 sec read

Crazy Taxi is an old-school video game that appeared on the Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, PC, and in the Arcades back in the day. And it was a hell of a lot of fun. So why hasn’t there been a movie version made out of it?

There was no plot in Crazy Taxi, and that may be the reason attempts to make a movie based on the game faltered. In essence, you drive a taxi as fast and as madly as possible while picking up and dropping off customers.

However, this user-created trailer for a Crazy Taxi movie shows how it may have worked. It uses footage from various films, most notably Die Hard With A Vengeance starring Bruce Willis.

If a plot could have been built around the bones of the game then this would have probably been a movie I’d have gone to see. But with the game now being a decade old I can’t now see it happening. So enjoy the (fake) trailer instead.
