I do think it is kind of strange that this amateur videographer is shooting some random plane in the sky. Perhaps it is a friend who is taking a lesson or something?
Needless to say, he does capture a bolt of lightning actually striking the plane while it is in mid-air! Remarkably, the plane electronics continue to function and the plane continues to fly like normal.
Some big time luck there if you ask me. In the video too, it does look like the lightning comes out of the sky, but it actually goes from the ground up, or whatever it hits up.
So in this instance, it struck the plane, but got wired in all sorts of directions because of the plane. Ok, probably more information than you’ll ever want to know, but this is still a damn cool vid.
