We all know the nursery rhyme: Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall, and all that jazz. But I never imagined that fictional egg to be quite this creepy.

This advertisement was designed to encourage kiddies to buy Kinder Surprise chocolate in the 1980s. But all it actually did was scare the little ones. Not surprisingly, it was yanked from television before too long.

I’m well past childhood, but I’m still pretty disturbed by this egg man. Never before have I been so keen to see Humpty Dumpty fall from his perch to meet an untimely death!
