This video shows the sickening CCTV footage of a man swinging a cat round by its tail. Thankfully the guy in question was named and shamed, and will hopefully pay for his cruelty.
My question is why would someone do this? Did a cat scratch and bite this guy when he was a kid? Even if that’s the case it wasn’t this cat, named Mowgli, in particular. What a bizarre crime to commit.
The good news is that not only did the man hand himself in (now being questioned by the police and the RSPCA), but the cat is OK. His owner says that Mowgli is physically unharmed but a little bit mentally affected.
Which is no wonder really. If I had been picked up by an appendage and swung round a few times then I too would be left feeling emotionally scarred. possibly forever.
