The people of the Canadian small town of Waterton found a unique solution to the influx of deer during fawning season. Rather than reaching for the shotguns, they looked to Jill the Border Collie.
Jill singlehandedly rounds up the deer and shoos them out of the town. The whole thing is done without altercation, incident, or injury. It’s good for the deer, and good for Jill who has become some kind of town hero.
Employing a dog like Jill sounds like the perfect solution for any problem. She’s efficient, and she doesn’t expect anything more than a friendly pat as payment!
