I’m always astonished when people manage to keep both a cat and a dog together in the same house. Both animals are territorial and don’t take well to others encroaching on their space.
However, lots of people seem to pull it off, but one possible cause of conflict, even in the most settled of houses, is the sleeping arrangements.
This video shows what happens when cats steal dogs’ beds. None of the dogs are happy at the situation, but some handle it better than others.
I’ve noticed the larger dogs tend to be more wary of their feline friends, while the small dogs will get more aggressive and end up kicking the competition out of bed. Small man syndrome in effect, perhaps?
