Dana Carvey made a triumphant return to Saturday Night Live this weekend. And he was ably assisted in his efforts to make us all laugh by teen singing sensation (and annoying little twerp) Justin Bieber.
Bieber joined Carvey for a sketch called ‘Church Chat’, in which the talentless child visits an old spinster church lady for a chat.
Although I can’t stand Justin Bieber, I admit he did OK here. I’m pre-programmed to despise him – I’m a 30-something man, he’s a teenage boy with a bowl-haircut and an overly positive attitude – it’s human nature!
Carvey did great, and his appearance reminded me of the days when Saturday Night Live was unmissable week in, week out. These days it all depends on who the guest host is.
