Dancing Inmates’ Michael Jackson Tribute Video | Filipino Prisoners Perform Medley

34 sec read

Two years ago, in July 2007, a group of Filipino prison inmates scored a huge viral video hit when they performed a choreographed dance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Now, in light of his death, they’re back to perform a tribute to The King Of Pop.

The prisoners seem to have really been affected by Michael Jackson’s death, not only because he was a legendary singer, songwriter, and dancer, but because he inspired them and made them famous.

They start out with a synchronized dance to Ben, before segueing in to I’ll Be There. The whole thing finishes in spectacular style with We Are The World, already a rousing anthem, and now one which means more than ever.

This is a fitting tribute to Michael Jackson, and one which is performed with both style and grace. It may not be as instantly exciting as the Filipino prisoners’ version of Thriller, but the amount of work that’s gone into it is truly impressive.
