There are far too many people who think they can sing in this world. Most of them can’t. People from both sets turn up on American Idol year after year to try their hand at becoming a star. And most fail.
Danny Gokey, who came third last season behind Adam Lambert and Kris Allen, is succeeding despite not having the greatest voice in the world. And he’s gone the country route too, and country music generally sucks ass.
This video shows Gokey performing his new single on American Idol after he was asked to return for the new season. The song is called My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me, and judging by the reception he gets that may well be true.
I must admit though that it isn’t my cup of tea. The lyrics are cheesy, the melody is uninspiring, and his voice is average. But that’s just my opinion. I’m sure there are millions of people who disagree.
