Dave Letterman really doesn’t understand Twitter, bless him. He’s clearly too old, too grumpy, and too much of a technophobe to even want to understand the social networking phenomenon.
But he give it a try regardless, sending his first tweet live on The Late Show. OK, so he tweeted, “Do you smell veal and peppers?” and followed that up with “I like Barbara. Do you?” and “I’m making toast!,” but still…
Twitter is one of those things you either love or hate. Those who love it spend far too much time tweeting every thought they have, while those who hate it can’t even get their head around the appeal of it.
However, watching Dave Letterman attempt to send his first tweet is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. And while I doubt he’ll be tweeting much, you can follow The Late Show.
