I’ve seen some strange compilation videos in my time, but this one may just be the strangest of all. It shows David Letterman asking countless drummers, “Are those your drums?”
Letterman has had a countless number of bands on his chat show over the years, and as this video shows, he gravitates towards the drummers.
He seems overly fascinated whether they’re using their own drums or whether they’ve rented them just for the show. Which seems a strange obsession to me.
Letterman is actually a drummer himself, which I guess explains this behavior to some degree. Perhaps he feels the other members of the band get too much attention, so speaks to the drummer on purpose. Still, it’s quite creepy.
