This video shows a mock up of a real phone conversation which took place between a Dell computer salesman and a potential customer who rang up to enquire about buying a $999 PC.
It all starts well enough, although judging by the obvious English language problems, it’s clear the call center isn’t located in the USA. CD boner anyone?
Then it gets even worse, as the list of what ISN’T included in the package starts getting revealed. You’d better buy now because remember “The future is gonna cost more money!“
So the customer now decides he’d better read the flyer again, and maybe ring back. Big mistake, as the salesman smells a lost sale, and goes slightly insane over the prospect.
We’ve already seen an example of a Dell tech support person having to deal with an idiot, but this time, it’s the other way around. Maybe Dell just attracts them?
