If you’ve found your way to this post, you, like me, are probably a fan of the Guitar Hero or Rock Band games. These virtual instrument games are the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
But, as fun as they are, whether you’re playing them on your PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii, the instruments unfortunately aren’t real. And as any musician will tell you, playing a plastic guitar just can’t cut it compared to playing a real one.
Step forward Disney Star Guitarist, a game that looks and plays in the same way as Rock Band and Guitar Hero, but uses a real guitar, with strings and everything! How awesome is that?
This video sees the software being demonstrated on a laptop at the Consumer Electronics Show. Out on PC and Mac this summer, here’s hoping for a release on the home consoles soon. I’d buy it.
