Dixville Notch 2008 Presidential Election Result Video | Obama Wins First Town

25 sec read

Dixville Notch in New Hampshire is traditionally the first town in the U.S. to open its polling and declare a result, with just 20 odd people casting their vote at midnight on November 4th.

This 10 minute YouTube video shows the while process from beginning to end, with the people filing by, the results being counted and then finally, announced.

Dixville Notch is usually a hotbed of Republicans but Barack Obama, the Democrat candidate, wins this time around, possibly indicating a good night for his campaign.

This is just the first of many 2008 Presidential Election results to be declared, with the rest coming over the next 24 hours or so. May the best man win.
