There are few things I enjoy more than a good Japanese game show. It doesn’t matter if you don’t speak Japanese, as these bizarre games speak for themselves.
In this one, the contestants box one another. Of course, in a Japanese game show it’s never quite that simple.
Firstly, they’re dressed up in ridiculous costumes, including flowing dresses, business suits, and gold paint. It doesn’t seem to matter that these clothes are entirely inappropriate for combat.
Once they’re all dressed up our boxers are put in a spinning chamber to get nice and dizzy. It’s amazing that the participants can keep their lunch down after all this spinning, let alone start boxing.
As if the game wasn’t already difficult enough, the participants must then cross a narrow plank suspended over a pool of scalding hot water.
Of course, most contestants end up in the boiling pool, whether it’s from the dizziness or the knockout punches. But don’t worry; there’s plenty of ice on the sidelines to cool them down.
