Do They Know It’s Christmas is one of the all-time classic Christmas songs. It started the tradition for releasing charity singles, and being the original is the most-successful as well.
This isn’t the Do They Know It’s Christmas we know and love. Instead, it’s a spoof cover version from the Comedy Death-Ray Xmas Nativity Choir, which features a host of American stand-up comedians and comedy actors.
What makes this version so brilliant is that each singer in turn tries to mimic the original artist which sang their part. Some nail it, some don’t, but it’s funny watching them all try regardless.
The Comedy Death-Ray Xmas Nativity Choir is made up of Paul F. Tompkins, R.O. Manse, Tig Notaro, Rob Huebel, Patton Oswalt, Mike Phirman, Jimmy Pardo, Brian Posehn & Scott Aukerman, Garfunkel & Oates, Aimee Mann, Chris Hardwick, Paul Scheer & June Diane Raphael, Doug Benson, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Nick Thune, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Cracked Out, Dragon Boy Suede, Natasha Leggero, Thomas Lennon, and Ed Helms.
