Human rights, or the rights that all humans are entitled to, didn’t always exist in an official declaration like they do today. The above video gives a very brief (and very optimistic) story of human rights as we know them now.
Apparently there are 30 “official” human rights that the United Nations recognizes- many of which are already laws in developed countries.
As simple as this video seems, the tone of it makes it appear more like a children’s story more than a documentary. Probably because we have a long way to go before the UN is actually balanced and “human rights” apply for all countries in the world
Having written laws doesn’t always mean that they will be enforced, but I’m glad we humans are finally starting to get our shit together after thousands of years of fighting.
