I think all my fellow freelance writers (and aspiring whatever writers as well) will get a kick out of this video.
I was tempted to put this interview with Harlan Ellison under the comedy category because it makes me chuckle. I shouldn’t chuckle, because he’s talking about a serious subject, but I can’t help myself.
The thing is, he’s exactly right. Too many writers do things for free that they should get paid for, and then these huge companies get pouty because they now thing they should get everything for free.
But it’s like Harlan says, “It doesn’t benefit me until I have money in my hand.”
