Edie Sedgwick was an American actress, model, and socialite. She was one of the first it girls, being more famous for being famous than anything else. Although unlike the present generation she did actually possess some talent.
She’s in the news again at the moment thanks to a roundabout connection to Brittany Murphy, the actress who died suddenly and unexpectedly at the tender age of 32.
Not only did Sedgwick also die very young (28), Murphy was due to play her in Factory Girl, but lost out to Sienna Miller in the end. There was also a legal problem concerning Simon Monjack, Murphy’s widower.
But ignoring all that, Sedgwick was an incredibly attractive girl whose light went out far too early. And as this video shows it was a very bright light indeed.
