In a family of swimmers, it’s no surprise that Elizabeth Beisel got an early start in swimming.
Joining her first competitive swim team at the age of five, she went on to break team records, age records and finally qualify at the Olympic trials. Not only is she the pride of her family, she is also the pride of Rhode Island, being the first Olympic swimmer from the state in 44 years.
Despite all this, she likes to play it cool. Having a normal teen life is important to her and when she’s not swimming, she’s playing the violin, having fun and spending as much time at the beach as possible.
