I’ll be honest and admit I don’t understand the appeal of NASCAR. It’s so dull. Why would you want to watch fast cars going round and round in circles and not doing much?
There can only be one reason: you’re waiting for the crashes. If that’s the case, then this video clip will please all NASCAR fans. Especially as the driver, Elliott Sadler, walked away without a scratch on him.
Jimmie Johnson took the blame for the crash, admitting to bumping Sadler and sending him careering off the track and into the barriers.
Elliott Sadler was lucky to have stepped out of the wreckage of his car, as it hit a steel guardrail head-on. Which, even I as a non-fan, realize isn’t the best idea in the world.
NASCAR is dangerous. Obviously. But it could be made safer, surely a priority in a sport with cars traveling this fast.
