Tesla Motors has unveiled its latest car, and it looks pretty magnificent. This video shows Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk taking the wraps off of the Tesla D.
The D stands for “dual” as in dual motors. This is due to the Tesla D being powered by dual motors, one propelling the front wheels, the other propelling the rear wheels.
The Tesla D also features an automated driving system which sounds like autopilot on crack. Essentially, the system will take some responsibilities off the driver, keeping you within your lane and decelerating when a lower speed limit is enforced.
As with all Tesla Motors vehicles, the Tesla D is not made for the average Joe, with prices starting at $75,000. It’s a shame, but innovation costs money. Lots and lots of money.
