Emma Watson has been cancelled for daring to show support for Black Lives Matter and Blackout Tuesday. Her crime? Posting three black squares on her Instagram.
While TheQuartering AKA Jeremy Habley is a divisive figure I often disagree with, on this occasion he’s spot-on. At least in my opinion.
First he questions why people need celebrities to come out in support of their causes. Because their fame isn’t the solution to sexism, racism, etc.
Then he laughs at the people condemning Emma Watson for posting three black squares on her Instagram. She tried to show support, and still got shit for it.
