No one really knows the true origin of this cyber-protest, but it definitely has something to do with the the recent censorship of South Park.
At first, I was pretty skeptical that “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day” would catch on. However, there’s already a number of Facebook groups popping up with hundreds of pictures being uploaded everyday.
When it really comes down to it, I’m not so sure that Comedy Central censored the Islam-bashing scene purely for safety purposes. After all, the network is known for airing uncensored movies and shows after midnight all the time.
Still, this fan-made video takes the stance that it’s a protest promoting “freedom of speech.” Either way, it’s a pretty original way at getting back at the terrorists that made those death threats.
