Konami has announced a new Metal Gear game, the first since Hideo Kojima, the creator of the popular series, left the company.
It’s called Metal Gear Survive, and it’s fair to say it takes the series in a different direction. And not a particularly good one.
Metal Gear Survive, as the name suggests, sees you trying to survive in a desert landscape filled with zombies. It follows on directly from the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
People haven’t reacted well to the announcement of this game. On its own it looks OK, but tying it into the beloved Metal Gear franchise was always going to cause controversy.
