Just because it has been nicknamed Freedom Tower doesn’t mean you have the freedom to base jump from the top of it in the middle of the night.
This video shows a set of base jumpers preparing to leap from One World Trade Center. One guy is wearing a GoPro camera mounted on his head, and films the whole event.
It’s an exciting clip to watch, but base jumping from private property in the middle of a city is highly illegal. And the people in this video have all been arrested.
It appears they got away with it at the time, but have since handed themselves in after the authorities identified them.
