Nintendo has started to roll Pokemon GO out on Android and iOS in selected countries. Users in Australia and New Zealand appear to have struck lucky first, with gamers in other parts of the world being asked to remain patient.
Pokemon GO is Nintendo’s first big drive into mobile, and the company appears to have nailed the concept of bringing Pokemon to smartphones for the first time.
Rather than being just a direct port for smartphones, Pokemon GO actually makes use of the technology, placing Pokemon in the real world based on your location, camera, and sensors.
The best thing about Pokemon GO is that it’s free, with micro-transactions available (from $0.99 to $99) for those who like wasting their money.
