Exciting The X-Files Is Back On TV Video | Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny Return

The X-Files is coming back to the small screen, with Fox ordering six-episode run starring original cast members Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny as Dana Scully and Fox Mulder, respectively.

The show was cancelled in 2002 after nine seasons and more than 200 episodes. There have also been two films, though neither quite managed to capture the magic of the television show.

Fans of the show are obviously delighted that The X-Files is returning, although six episodes is an extremely small run. It seems Fox is keen to see how much interest remains after all these years.

The X-Files started to get a little tired towards the end of its run, but if the new episodes are more like the early seasons then this could be a hit all over again.
