I think most of us are aware that there’s a certain amount of tweaking and fine tuning in all advertising and fashion magazines. But this video shows us the degree of manipulation that often goes on behind the scenes.
The most striking part of this video to me isn’t the flawless beauty that we’re presented with after seven minutes, but the real beauty we had to start with. Sure her eyebrows weren’t perfectly manicured and her skin was a little blemished, but she certainly wasn’t ugly.
It also brings home exactly how unachievable it is to look like the models in the magazines. If even they need close to ten minutes of fine-tuning, how can we ever achieve that level of perfection?
