For those who remember the smash hit and 1997 game of the year Fallout, news of the resurrection of the Fallout series by the RPG giant Bethesda should be more than welcome.
The Fallout title fell out of favor and into obscurity partly due to the dissolution of its mother studio: Interplay, and later as a result of a series of dreadful spin offs such as Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and Fallout: Tactics. The two later games were poorly received, and many people assumed the series to be utterly dead.
Fortunately, when Interplay went under Bethesda bought up all rights to the title on games that were not already in production.
So even though we haven’t known about it, Bethesda has been working on Fallout 3 for years now in secret! This is the first video trailer for the project, and it is entirely rendered in the in-game engine, meaning that the end result shouldn’t look too different!
So if you are ready for a post-apocolyptic nuclear RPG experience like none other, fire up your PIP Boy suit and load up that shotgun, it’s time to kick ass and chew bubble gum… but there is no bubble gum in the future.
