This is the first teaser trailer for Ant-Man, the latest comic book hero to have his origin story brought to the big-screen.
Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd as the titular hero, with Michael Douglas playing his mentor. This is brilliant casting which should help Ant-Man cross over into the mainstream.
Ant-Man’s superhero skill is being able to shrink down to the size of an ant at will. Hence the name. Not that Rudd’s version of the character is particularly enthralled at his euphemistic moniker.
There will be a couple of longer trailers before Ant-Man is released in July, but Marvel is clearly playing things close to its chest for the time being. Which makes sense for a character who has never before been seen on the big-screen.
