Following hot on the heels of Westworld and Legion comes American Gods, the latest TV series you’re likely to get obsessed with.
American Gods is a novel by Neil Gaiman, which Starz has now turned into a TV show. And American Gods debuted on American television over the weekend.
The novel is based on the notion that gods and other mythical creatures exist because people believe in them. So when people stop believing in them they lose their power or die.
The TV show is following the same basic idea, but, as is the fashion these days, things aren’t spelled out in the first episode, with the audience kept guessing.
