In the U.S. you have to be 21 or over to drink alcohol. Which seems overly cautious if you ask me. It also puts a lot of pressure on bartenders.
In this video we see how bartenders work out whether someone is old enough to drink. And it turns out it’s harder than it looks.
To be fair to the bartenders in the video, the filmmakers clearly chose people they thought could fool them. There wasn’t really any people unequivocally over or under age.
I must admit I would have scored terribly on this, probably guessing less than half of the people’s ages right. Which suggests I shouldn’t get a job as a bartender.
