What do you get if you cross a bald-headed hard man, a pretty boy hard man, a couple of ropey-looking women, a crap-load of cars, and a glut of action covering for the fact there is no storyline. That’s right, a Fast and Furious movie.
This video shows Betsy Sharkey from the ‘Los Angeles Times’ reviewing Fast and Furious, the fourth film in the series and the first since the original to feature the original cast. Reason enough to see the movie? No, probably not.
I like action films as much as the next person but for me there has to be a reason for the action rather than it just being there for the sake of it. Although I enjoyed the most recent James Bond and Indiana Jones movies there’s a case for them both being too action-oriented.
For Fast and Furious 4, I’d suggest that if you love the other films in the series you’ll love this one. If you prefer more than just a shallow plot padded out by car chases and crashes then this is probably one to avoid.
