Veteran actor James Whitmore died Friday at age 87. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer just before Thanksgiving and died at his home in Malibu of the disease.
I wanted to find a movie clip for him, but this was all I could find without extensive searching. I’m not disappointed, though, because even in his brief appearance in this commercial, you really get a sense of his playfulness, stubbornness and sense of humor.
James Whitmore was a man who was well and truly dedicated to the live of the movies. His life revolved around them, and for that, he will be sorely missed.
