With the recent cold front that passed through my area, a nice warm, sandy beach sounds like the perfect retreat. That is, of course, unless you are with the Polar Club; then you are seeking out the coldest water around.
Well, I found their perfect beach retreat, and that is in New Foundland. This amateur video capture the waves as they hit the beach, instantly freezing and making large ice burgs all along the bank.
Don’t forget your bikini! The outside air must be damn cold for that salty water to freeze instantly. And, it doesn’t even seem like the people caught in the video are wearing warm enough clothes to tolerate weather that is freezing ocean waves.
Mother Nature is full of crazy forces and phemonemons, and this is certainly one of them. But, when I go to a beach, I think it is more likely you will find me in Maui.
