The CEO of Abercrombie and Fitch allegedly hates fat people, or at least doesn’t think it’s worth catering to them. This brand is only for skinny people, who are welcome to it, quite frankly.
I think the biggest problem for Abercrombie and Fitch is that people’s tastes change, and there is no guarantee this particular brand will remain in fashion and conceived to be cool.
To be honest I thought that had already happened. Is Abercrombie and Fitch still a brand young people like to dress in? If so it must be purely an American thing.
This will have done Abercrombie and Fitch no harm whatsoever. It has prompted free advertising all across the Web, and people who already buy this brand aren’t going to be put off by such views.
