Angela Merkel is the German equivalent of President Obama or Prime Minister Cameron. Except she’s female and has what appears to be a sparkling sense of humor. Especially where beer is concerned.
Merkel, for those who don’t know (Americans, probably) is the Chancellor of Germany, leading a coalition in the country which seems best placed to ride out the current economic storm.
Merkel is the most powerful woman in Europe, and possibly the world. And yet even she cannot prevent accidents occurring around her, including glasses of beer being poured down her back.
It looks like an accident, with the tray tipping just that little bit too far as the guy leans in to hand Merkel her beer. But it’s always possible he disagrees with her politics and how she runs the country, I guess.
