TV’s most famous infomercial salesman, Billy Mays, was asked to stop by a McDonald’s and order on behalf of a Florida radio show this week. Sure, the concept (and mere fact that it’s actually Billy Mays mocking himself) is funny for about a minute.
After that, he just sounds arrogant and annoying.
I’m not saying the man deserves boogers in his fast food, but I wouldn’t blame any of the employees for doing it. He’s lucky that most of the people (with, perhaps, the exception of the cashier) appear to love the man to death.
But for what really? If any non-famous rich white man pulled up in a Bentley and had the audacity to flaunt $100 bills, I’m not so sure he would be met with the same response. Hell Billy, at least let the lady keep the change!
What really ticked me off about the whole incident (even more than his negative comment at 2:52) was the very end of the clip where suggested that they buy more of his endorsed products. If he isn’t on drugs, he sure knows how to act like it.
