Chris Rock is one funny dude and George Carlin is no doubt a legend. Just having the two in the same room should be enough to cause laughing.
And that’s exactly what happened in this classic clip from back in 1997…
The first thing you’ll notice about this video is the irony in Chris Rock’s opening comments. Right after he praises Carlin for being “easily one of the greatest” he says that people wouldn’t take him for granted if a tragedy happened to him.
For those who’ve never even heard of Carlin’s stand up, this clip is enough to explain his legacy as one of the rebel comics of the 50’s and 60’s. We’ve come a long way from censoring words like “piss” and “tits” and we have Carlin to thank for that.
Oh, and maybe the acid.
