First we had Twilight, then we had The Hunger Games, and now we have Divergent. A movie for teenagers who like dystopian futures.
But maybe, just maybe, this is one teenage angst movie that’s actually good? No, surely that’s not even possible.
Most reviewers are dumping on Divergent, but Jeremy Jahns actually likes it. And I can certainly see why.
While the Twilight movies and The Hunger Games movies were definitely and undeniably for teenagers and no one else, Divergent may also appeal to adults. Which is a blessing.
Sure, it’s based on a silly premise and is slightly long and dumb, but Divergent is also an action-packed film that won’t leave you bored. Count me in.
